The Safe working Level 1 training course is about managing track vehicle movements on the rail network in NSW.

This course contains 7 core units of competency which must be completed by all students that wish to work as Safe working officer Level 1, these are as follow:

  • TLIC0084 Access rail track to travel track vehicles under manual block working

  • TLIF3058 Apply safe working rules and regulations to rail functions

  • TLIF2081 Perform lookout duties

  • TLIF2097 Use audible track warning devices

  • TLIW3026 Operate stand-alone signaling-points equipment

  • TLIW2037 Clip and secure points

  • TLIC2078 Identify and respond to signals and trackside signs
